This is the statement the Associated Press sent out to its subscribers on Monday:

Please be advised that no network travel pool is expected to be with U.S. President Donald Trump today as he heads to New York for the United Nations General Assembly. CNN was the designated network to cover the president's travel today, but the network has been barred by the White House.

On Saturday, reporters from three major news organizations - CNN, MSNOW and Politico - were denied access to the White House, a day after President Trump said he was barring them due to what he called unfavorable coverage he found to be "fake news."

The Associated Press will cover the president of the United Nations, with journalists on the ground providing coverage, including live video, images and reporting.
