The New York Post announced a first-look creative partnership with Crazy Legs Productions to develop film, television, documentary, and streaming projects inspired by the publication’s distinctive journalism, investigative reporting, and expansive archive of culturally defining stories.

Under the partnership, Crazy Legs Productions will receive exclusive access to original reporting, investigative features, and archival materials from both The New York Post and The California Post for adaptation across scripted and unscripted platforms.  Together, the partners will focus on developing bold, culturally impactful stories in the true crime, pop culture, and sports genres.

For decades, the New York Post has been a driving force in news, entertainment, sports, true crime, celebrity, and politics, generating stories that consistently shape public conversations and resonate across popular culture. Many of the publication’s headlines and investigations have already inspired documentaries, television specials, and narrative adaptations throughout the entertainment industry.

Crazy Legs Productions brings extensive experience across premium unscripted and scripted programming, with credits spanning reality television, true crime, sports, game shows, documentaries, and feature films. Backed by a full-service production and post-production infrastructure, the company’s recent projects include the #1 show on Netflix, "The Death of the Pastor's Wife," the hit TLC series 1000-LB Sisters, Tech Bro Murders for Investigation Discovery, and the syndicated game show Scrambled Up. The company also recently released HBO’s The Great Lillian Hall, starring Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates, and continues to expand its growing slate of feature films and limited true-crime series scheduled for release in Summer 2026.

“We’re excited to partner with Crazy Legs Productions to extend the reach of our top-shelf journalism beyond the page,” said Troy Searer, President of New York Post Entertainment. “The Post has always delivered stories that capture attention and spark conversation. This partnership creates a perfect opportunity to bring those stories to life for audiences across film and television.”

The collaboration will initially focus on true crime, larger-than-life personalities, sports, and uniquely New York stories with strong cinematic and episodic potential.

“Crazy Legs has built its reputation on producing bold, character-driven storytelling across genres,” said Tom Cappello. “The New York Post is one of the most iconic storytelling brands in the country, with an unmatched ability to uncover stories that are provocative, emotional, and inherently cinematic. We’re excited to build a slate of premium projects together.”
